We create links between Vietnamese people who live, work and study in New Zealand and help all Vietnamese people adapt, settle in the country.
Developing and reinforcing Vietnamese language and culture for Vietnamese people and children living in New Zealand. Running a Vietnamese language classes where Vietnamese children learn and practice Vietnamese language through reading, writing, story-telling and Vietnamese craft making. The Vietnamese language class is open to any Vietnamese families in the greater Wellington region. They do not need to be a member of the Society to participate in this class.
Building a strong and closely knitted Vietnamese community. Welcome and help new Vietnamese families transition into New Zealand society: through social networking, language class, formal activities and informal social gathering, we introduce new Vietnamese families to the Vietnamese community and New Zealand lifestyle, helping them settle in New Zealand, such as finding accommodation, jobs, etc.
Integrating Vietnamese culture into New Zealand society and enrich New Zealand’s cultural diversity. Organising annual events such as Lunar New Year Festival, Kids’ Festival held on 1st June annually, Mid-Autumn Festival, organized around September annually, Support Vietnam day. Enrich New Zealand cultural diversity and richness through showcasing Vietnamese cuisine, values and culture in community and public events.
The VietCommunityNZ is established to support the development of a strong Vietnamese community in New Zealand. This is achieved through a number of current programmes/projects and proposed activities.

Vietnamese language class is running strongly in Hutt Valley, this class is held every fortnight for 1 and a half hours, involving around 20 Vietnamese children.
The club is being held weekly in the weekend and a tennis tournament is held quarterly. We hope to provide financial and non-financial support to sustain this sports activity.
